DNEAT August update
Posted on 31 July 2015
DNEAT staff were very pleased that finally work has begun to replace the leaking atrium at Kessingland Church of England Primary Academy this month. Having witnessed the water coming up through the floor into the school, and the moving of the library every time there is a heavy downpour, it is with great relief to know that by September the school should have a proper roof above the main thoroughfare through the building. There will still be some work carried out when school begins but the building company are on a tight schedule to complete and we would like to thank the staff (particularly the caretaker) for their patience during this process.
DNEAT staff have been meeting with Norfolk County Council to review the Broadband contract and have been invited to be part of the tender presentations in autumn and will be asking for one DNEAT Business Manager and Head to join them. A number of educational office suppliers and school furniture companies have been approached with a view to getting a good group discount on their goods and services. School offices will be informed in September of any discounts available for them to use. Also staff have had demonstrations from School Bus, a web based service that some Norfolk schools have been using, free demonstrations are available on line for those who have not seen this system.
The finance team have been busy working with individual schools to continue supporting staff using PS Financials. During August school office staff will have to put through the August payroll and David and Imogen will be available during this time if academies have any particular queries or problems as well as payroll administrators at EPM.
In the meantime, we wish everyone a peaceful and relaxing summer
