DNEAT is a growing multi academy trust serving predominantly Church of England primary schools across Norfolk.  We are seeking suitably qualified individuals to clerk Academy Improvement Review (AIR) meetings on a self-employed basis.


 AIR meetings are held on a termly basis at each of our academies.  Meetings take place during the day and paperwork is sent out in advance by the DNEAT central office.  Clerks are required to attend the meetings which generally last up to 2.5 hours, take minutes in accordance with DNEAT procedures and email the draft minutes to the Governance Manager within 10 working days of the meeting.  Full training and support will be provided by the DNEAT Governance Manager.  AIR meetings take place during a 3 week period in the second part of each term.  Dates are set in the previous academic year and clerks will be allocated to meetings which are in your home geographical area, wherever possible.  Please refer to our website for a list of our academies and their locations.

Clerks will be paid a set amount of £140 per meeting.  The fee is inclusive of all travelling (unless more than 40 miles round trip) and other expenses, including preparation and work-related resources, involved in carrying out this work.

Clerks will be accountable to the DNEAT Governance Manager.

The Clerk will:
 o have excellent literacy, listening and communication skills
 o be IT literate and fully competent in using MS Word and email
 o maintain confidentiality
 o be flexible and able to manage your own time
 o be able to travel to meetings which may be over a wide geographical area
 o be reliable

Previous experience of clerking and/or working in an education environment would be advantageous.
