Salary: £25,755 - £30,300
Start Date: 2018-07-09
Minimum 25 hours per week – term-time only (TTO) plus 2 weeks.
Flexibility up to a fulltime post including TTO will be considered.
If fulltime 37 hours per week (24 days holiday per annum, plus statutory bank holidays and discretionary Christmas holiday)
The Diocese of Norwich is establishing a support services company to provide high quality, value for money services to its academies and schools. In order to continue to provide high quality governance support at local and trust level, we are seeking a Senior Clerk to work with the Head of Governance.
The Senior Clerk will:
• act as the Clerk to the Boards of Trustees for the Diocesan Multi-Academy Trusts and ensure the Boards are operated in a way that conforms to the Articles of Association, Schemes of Delegation and the highest standards of probity in public life. This includes ensuring that all Trust subcommittees are appropriately clerked
• provide support and guidance for schools and academies in relation to all aspects of governance
The successful candidate will:
o have excellent literacy, listening and communication skills
o be IT literate and fully competent in using MS Word and email
o maintain confidentiality
o be flexible and able to manage your own time
o be able to travel to meetings which may be over a wide geographical area
o have experience of clerking in the education sector
Previous experience of clerking Permanent Exclusion (PEX) Hearing and Appeals Panel will be an advantage.
