We are looking for a passionate HLTA who can be an integral part of our school community to lead learning covering teachers’ PPA time and adhoc unplanned absence as well as supporting teaching and learning across the school.
Ofsted visited our school in June 2023 and recognised the following:
“Provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is effective.”
“Skilled adults deliver support effectively.”
“Staff enjoy working at the school… feel well supported by leaders… leaders are considerate of their workload and well-being.”
“[Swaffham Primary Academy] brings learning to life and broadens pupils’ horizons.”
“…pupils understand the SPA Way and the school’s values of being ready, respectful and safe.”
Our values are rooted in enabling every child to flourish through our fantastic curriculum. Through the Thrive approach and the launch of Forest Schools this year, we will continue to refine and develop our curriculum and are looking for someone who shares our values to support teaching and learning across the school.
If you:
- share our values
- are keen to play an active role in our school
- are driven to build effective relationships with pupils across the Primary Key Stages to provide them with consistency and a safe environment, delivering great learning opportunities as part of their weekly routine
- can build productive, communicative relationships with teachers, pupils and families
- can work effectively as part of a strong team as well as work independently applying your skills and initiative
- are committed to supporting pupils with their mental health and well-being
- want to be part of a growing school with a commitment and drive to support every single learner to thrive in our setting and believe in themselves
- can support the development of children’s self-esteem
- can inspire a love of learning
- have good literacy and numeracy skills
- have a firm belief that every child can achieve
then we want to hear from you!
We are seeking to employ someone who has experience of working within the Primary phase. Covering regular PPA in classes is an integral part of a child’s routine and it is crucial they have a consistent presence who they have formed a good relationship with, who knows their routines and has an effective relationship with the class team. In the event of any unplanned absence, part of your role would be to cover this, providing the children with a familiar presence who knows them well.
We can offer:
- an Ofsted Good school (June 2023)
- a strong team approach
- fantastic learners from EYFs to Year 6
- a creative and friendly team of dedicated staff
- a commitment to staff professional development
- a supportive Trust
- a growing school
- a school and working environment we are proud
- Thrive, Forest Schools and bespoke SEND provision
