Thomas Bullock CE Primary Academy is a one-form entry school. We are a Good school Ofsted, January 2020 and we are moving at pace on our journey to Outstanding. Lyng Primary School is a good school and has recently joined our federation. This post is to start at Thomas Bullock but is a Federation post and you may be required to work in both schools.
As a member of DNEAT we are greatly supported by our trust, a strong governing body and the community of Shipdham and Lyng. Our children at both schools are eager and receptive learners with good learning behaviours. Outcomes at both schools were well above Norfolk and National. With the Standardised Score at Thomas Bullock exceeding 109 in all areas. We have high expectations of what can be achieved for all pupils and a clear and consistent curriculum to support this.
We are looking for an excellent practitioner who is passionate about the whole curriculum. The successful candidate will need to understand the importance of ‘find the gap, plug the gap’ so that pupils have improved opportunities in all areas and will be using assessment (PiXL is used in our school) for improving outcomes for all learners. Candidates should have experience teaching in KS2. We would also welcome interest from candidates who have spent time teaching in a mixed age school and/or larger school and with experience leading a curriculum area.
