LEVEL OF APPRENTICESHIP: Level 3
STANDARD: Teaching Assistant
DURATION OF APPRENTICESHIP: 18 months
END DATE: February 2024
START DATE: September 2022
INTERVIEW DATE: TBC
DAYS PER WEEK: M T W Th F
WORKING TIMES: 08:40 – 15:00 daily
TOTAL HOURS PER WEEK: 26.67 hrs
HOURLY RATE: National Minimum Wage (per age range of successful applicant)
The role will involve working with children within the primary phase (ages 4 – 11). You will support children on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and also support the class teacher in delivering high quality education. As part of the apprenticeship you will be trained in how to effectively support children to be the best they can be, including:
- How pupils learn and develop
- Use of technology to support learning
- Support assessment for learning
- Safeguarding
- Health and safety
- Curriculum knowledge
