Vacancy Title: Teaching Assistant ~ Early Years/KS1/KS2
Pay Scale: Point 2 to 4 (£10.60-£10.79) depending upon experience
Permanent
Hours per week: 25 hours within class and 2.5 MSA duty (total 28.75 hours, weekly)
Start Date: June 2023 or sooner if possible
Due to the growth in pupil numbers we are looking to appoint a practical, hardworking and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at St Peter & St Paul Church of England Primary Academy & Nursery. We are located in the beautiful rural village of Carbrooke. Our Academy is part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT). The Trust oversee our work, training and support staff in their career pathway at all levels.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of our classes, where pupils are eager to engage, play and learn, as well as exploring their surrounding inside and outside the classroom. The whole school is working towards the same goals – to support every child in achieving their potential and being the best version of themselves. Our school works like a family and our pupils and parents recognise this and indicate it is very important to them. Our assistants are flexible in their approach to teaching and support, so our vacancy could be within one or several of the classes, depending on the needs of the school, across the 2-11yrs age range.
The school has eight classes including the nursery with 230 pupils on roll.
We are looking for someone who:
- Be an excellent practitioner who is passionate about children’s learning
- Inspire and excite children in their learning
- Consistently set high expectations for pupils
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be willing to contribute to the common goals of the school
- Have a firm commitment to our Christian ethos, vision and values
- Confident in using basic IT
- GCSE or equivalent, grade 4 /pass in Mathematics and English
There may be the possibility of additional hours with Breakfast and After School Club cover needed occasionally.
