Water Awareness across Hope Federation

October 8, 2026

On Wednesday 6th May, we were pleased to welcome Richard Park from Anglia Water to both Rudham and Brisley Schools for a free educational visit. Richard led an informative and engaging whole-school assembly’s, where he spoke to pupils about the importance of using water responsibly both at school and at home. He explained what should and should not be flushed down toilets, as well as sharing simple but effective ways we can all help to save water.

Following the assembly, members of our Eco Saviours group took part in a school-wide water audits at both sites to help us work towards the ‘Anglian Water Eco Advocate Award’. The children carefully explored different areas of the school site, identifying where water is used and spotting opportunities to reduce waste. They approached the task with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility.

Using their findings, the group created a detailed water audit plan, outlining practical actions to help our school community save water and raise awareness about conservation. We are very proud of their efforts and look forward to putting their ideas into action as we continue to promote sustainability across the school.
