Our Local Governance Committees
The Department for Education published five pillars of quality for multi academy trusts.
The five pillars are:
- High-Quality and Inclusive Education
- School Improvement
- Workforce
- Finance and Operations
- Governance and Leadership
Primary responsibility for these functions is held by the Trust Board of Trustees, but it delegates responsibilities to the committees of the Trust Board, including the Local Governance Committee (LGC) of each academy, and roles within the Trust Central Team via the Scheme of Delegation.
Our LGCs consist of approximately 6 Trust Appointed Governors, 2 Parent Governors, 1 Staff Governor and the Headteacher.
The full LGC meets once per term with an additional administration meeting at the beginning of the Autumn term.
