Cake Sale at Brisley CE Primary Academy

The children at Brisley Church of England Primary Academy have spent time during Collective Worship learning that children in Syria were not able to go to school due to war. They really wanted to do something to help so when they found out about the charity Christian Aid who do just this, (try to help children in Syria to get to school or access education) they asked their school council to think of a fund-raising event.
Jo Kerkham, Head of School Said: “The school council decided to ask their parents to help them to hold a bake sale and bake lots of tasty treats for children and parents to buy. The Friends of Brisley helped with selling the cakes, cupcakes and biscuits after school on Thursday 28th June and raised an amazing £110. All the money will go to Christian Aid.”
