Walking Together for Autism Awareness

On Sunday 27th April, under glorious sunshine, children and families from across the year groups at Hopton CofE Primary Academy came together for a truly special event — a 5K walk to mark Autism Awareness Month.
The atmosphere was full of warmth and positivity as participants walked side by side, showing their support and raising awareness for an important cause. It was heartening to see the strong sense of community, with children leading the way with enthusiasm, determination, and a wonderful spirit of togetherness.
A special thank you goes to the fantastic team at Jay Jays Beach Café, who greeted everyone with refreshments and a warm welcome that helped everyone power through the final stretch of the walk.
It was a morning to remember — not only for the money raised but also for the message of acceptance and unity it sent out loud and clear. Everyone is incredibly proud of our children and thankful to all who supported this uplifting event.
