Being a governor in one of our academies
At DNEAT, children and young people are at the heart of our vision; as a Governor you have the responsibility for the quality and performance of your academy and to ensure that all children have the highest quality of education that they deserve.
DNEAT will support you in fulfilling this responsibility by working with governors to ensure that our pupils experience a high-quality education and all-round development in our academies.
Our vision for our academies is excellence for all, underpinned by strong Christian values. Excellence for our children and young people requires excellent leadership and management. We therefore need governance, which is thoughtful, well rounded and alert to context, challenge, and need.
DNEAT fully recognises the role of governors in challenging and sustaining the drive to raise pupil attainment through school improvement. Monitoring and evaluating every aspect of an Academy's performance will be a critical part of the governors' role, a responsibility the Trust will support through the provision of high-quality training and opportunities to share best practice.
